I ordered one 扬州炒饭 for togo. The chef put too much water with it. So I only can give three star

Restaurant recently had a grand re-opening. I think that only means it has a new owner. Just came here for the first time, drawn here by their website featuring slick photos of Hong Kong style diner comfort foods, including baked rice and noodle dishes. As soon as my family & I sat down, I knew I made a mistake. Some of the lights were off, like they're trying to save electricity. The photos of the food on the wall were old and beat up. The walls next to the tables were dirty with chipped paint. The stainless door to the kitchen looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Grand re-opening? The worst part was when the waiter told us they no longer serve any baked dishes on the menu and pictured on the walls. And no more sandwiches. And no more shaved snow desserts. "We haven't served those things for over 2 weeks!" said the waiter. What we ended up ordering tasted okay, but without the specialties we came for, this is just any ordinary Chinese-American restaurant.

Came in 10 minutes past opening hours in the evening, and was greeted with an extremely sour face. I realized that the open sign wasn't turned on, so...my bad. I wanted to order take out and inquired if they took cards for a some order of $15. She mentioned that they didn't, and was unwilling to budge, so I just left.

Everything is excellent.

Has all the right dishes but pork and chicken fried rice were suspect in freshness and taste was a bit off. Shrimp chow fun was good.

Family run restaurant, great and delicious food, highly recommend!

Food is not consistent. Just ordered General Tso's last week. Absolutely perfect. Ordered today and it's dry, hard and completely full of inedible spice. Very disappointed.

The food is so good here it is amazing I am only 12 and I love the food for my opinion try the won Ton soup it is amazing with shrimp and everything u should really try it and also u should try the beef broccoli it is super good please try it and give reviews try the food. Excellent food.

Great variety to choose from. I've been there over ten times and the food has always been delicious. Waiters are very friendly. Prices are reasonable.

The guy who waited on our table was super nice and excited to answer any questions. He helped us to pick food we would like. The black peppered beef over pan fired noodles was amazing! The fish balls... Were weird. But the curry sauce was really good. Prices were awesome fed 3 people for 26 bucks!

This place is a great place to get some Hing Kong food which is quite good. The owners here are also very friendly.

A small local family owned restaurant. Nicer than a to-go only place, but not as fancy as a white table cloth establishment.Excellent quality food, more authentic in flavor than you'd expect. My personal favorite is the Singapore-style chow fun. Don't skip the owner's signature Salt & Pepper plate appetizer.

Amazing food and amazing service! The owners here are super nice and friendly. They always have conversations with customers as if they're family. Not only that but the food is really tasty and fresh.

Do not be derailed by the mundane name. We loved this hidden jewel, so cozy and inviting. The owners are friendly and talking like your next door neighbors. The food was excellent with a nice fusion of east and west. Will delightedly recommend Wok Star to any friends!!!

Their oven was out so we couldn't order anything baked. We tried other dishes on the menu - salted fish claypot chicken but was disappointed by it. Firstly it didn't came in a claypot, secondly there were barely any salted fish and chicken, only lots of tofu.

I love this restaurant! The food is amazing. Your tastebuds will go wild. The place is clean and does not have any fish smell. Normally when I go to a restaurant the smell of fish makes my stomach queasy so I walk right out, so do my daughters and husband. But not Wok STAR. 🤩 They take pride in each and every dish. I give it 5 stars.🤗 Plus the staff is very nice and accommodating. 🤴Hoo Choo is not that great, China rose in milpitas is 2 minutes but my daughter's say Never again mom. Just be patient because Wok Star on Landess ave. Gets very busy!!!!! Thank you Wok Star for great food. .....Marilyn

Really friendly staff there and they would recommend you to order what is cooked best over there. When they see your food has left over they would ask you what you think of the food, if anything done wrong.

Unfortunately they are out of business as of October 2018.

First time eating here and I'm really enjoying veggie chow mein. Would definitely eat here again.

The value is unbeatable. Large portions for cheap prices. Courteous and fast service. I ordered beef chow fun, chicken wings, and won ton soup. The chow fun and chicken wings were great the soup tasted odd so I didn't like it. But I will come back to try other items that look really good on their menu.

Pleasant friendly family run business. The beef with broccoli and fried rice were delicious, and the portions were generous. The location and interior are not the best, but overall it is a nice place to stop.
